CECH’s efforts in the past year
were very successful!


Through the good will donations of residents, businesses, churches and homeowners in Chatham and surrounding communities, CECH assisted 36 families on the Lower Cape last year through 36 grants totaling $54,457.07 and averaging $1,512.70 each.

The Chatham Ecumenical Council Helping Prevent Homelessness is a non-profit organization of volunteers whose mission is to raise funding to provide financial assistance and hope for those in the Chatham, MA and surrounding Cape Cod communities who are struggling with housing issues due to poverty, loss of employment, medical hardships and personal family tragedies. In over 25 years, CECH has helped over 1400 people in our area.

Anyone may respond to an identified need or a request for assistance by providing the potential client with a Request for Financial Assistance Form or by notifying the CECH Evaluation Committee of the potential client’s name and address so that a form may be mailed out to them.
